Timber Treatment Programme
This programme ensures compliance to New Zealand Standard NZS3640:2003 (Chemical Preservation and Treatment of Timber), and the Occupational Safety and Health Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Timber Preservatives and Antisapstain Chemicals (1994). This compliance enables both the supplier and the buyer to be assured that timber treatment, environmental management systems and health and safety practices are adhered to recognised standard levels.
Timber Treatment Programme Benefits
This programme is JAS-ANZ accredited which assures customers that your audits have been carried out to the highest standards of impartiality, trust and creditability. JAS-ANZ is a non-profit organisation that operates across Australia and New Zealand, accrediting auditors to provide certification for various, generally government-related, programmes. The total Timber Treatment Programme includes product testing and analysis, as well as auditing of selected elements of your environmental management systems and health and safety practices. Once you have been accredited through the programme, you will be able to stamp your product with our Timber Treatment Programme Assurance Mark as a symbol of the standards to which your company has been audited.
The costs associated with this programme are worked out on a per audit basis, rather than on a per tonnage or volume basis. This allows for better financial planning through the audit process.
Our forestry team have extensive knowledge and experience within the preservation industry, and from this has stemmed good working relationships with all partners concerned. We utilise the latest laboratory technology for product testing and analysis.
