Our AgriBase™ derived products, Enhanced LCDB2 and Meshblocks give you more specific representation of land cover.
Enhanced LCDB2
AgriBase™ Enhanced LCDB2 embeds real land use information within broad pastoral classes of the land cover database 2 (LCDB2), giving you more specific representation of land cover.

The above illustrates AgriBase Enhanced LCDB2, which provides further land use details for high production exotic grassland, including beef cattle farming, deer farming, sheep farming, mixed sheep and beef farming, pig farming, ostrich farming and horses all shown in various shades of green. Similarly, various shades of purple show further detail for orchard and perennial crops including pip fruit, stone fruit, and market gardening. |

AgriBase™ Meshblocks
Provides a statistical summary of AgriBase™ data generalised to meshblock level. Data is provided as an Excel spreadsheet of attributes that include the meshblock ID ready to join up to your existing meshblock layer. Statistics for farm type, farm size and farm enterprise data is aggregated by meshblocks according to the location of the main gate (where known, otherwise the homestead or farm centroid).
We have six Meshblock datasets available:

- September 2009 AgriBase data, for use with 2006 digital Meshblock boundaries
- September 2008 AgriBase data, for use with 2006 digital Meshblock boundaries
- October 2007 AgriBase data, for use with 2006 digital Meshblock boundaries
- June 2006 AgriBase data, for use with 2006 digital Meshblock boundaries
- June 2005 AgriBase data, for use with 2001 digital Meshblock boundaries
- September 2002 AgriBase data, for use with 2001 digital Meshblock boundaries

- South Island data only NZ$4,750 + GST per dataset
