Food Testing
Food testing is increasingly viewed as a core component of quality assurance processes in the food supply chain. We are able to meet the most rigorous regulatory and consumer standards for laboratory testing, thus reflecting our commitment to providing robust and traceable science to support the quality assurance process.
Our testing capabilities include:
Pathogens
Our pathogen testing is one of the largest in New Zealand and concentrates on organisms responsible for food poisoning outbreaks which usually result from eating contaminated foods. Our testing methods determine the presence or absence of Listeria, Salmonella, Campylobacter, E.coli or Shigella organisms in a specified sample volume or mass.
Nutritional Panel Information
Our nutritional teams carry out an extended range of vitamin, amino acid, pharmaceutical active ingredient, mineral and traced element tests for a range of agribusiness, food and pharmaceutical products. Our experienced scientists, analysts and technicians can develop testing programmes that focus on the needs of customers or complete specific tests in line with the National Heart Foundation requirements.
Residue Trace-Backs
AsureQuality’s residues team provides a wide range of residue chemistry analysis for the food and beverage industries. We carry out physico-chemical, inorganic and organic testing capabilities to characterise product samples to determine properties, contaminant levels and compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.
Our analysts employ a wide variety of techniques including gel permeation chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography, gas liquid chromatography, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GCMS) and liquid chromatography – mass spectrometry (LCMS, ELISA and Bioassay).
