Allergen Awareness Workshop
Food allergies affect a small proportion of the population, but in some cases an allergic reaction could be life-threatening. The Australasian Food Standards Code requires declaration of the key allergens where they are present in food products in any amount.
Are your staff and suppliers allergen aware?
Food manufacturers have an obligation to employ Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure accurate and reliable labelling of all products, and to minimise the possible contamination of foods with serious allergens.
We can provide customised training for your team, giving them the knowledge and tools to manage food allergens in production. Update your staff and suppliers on the latest in food allergen regulation and compliance, and provide them with an insight into living with food allergies.
Learn about practices that minimise the risk of consumers being accidentally exposed to allergens. (Ie. arranging production schedules to reduce the risk of cross-transfer, control of rework material, cleaning procedures, good equipment design and plant layout).
With workshops designed to make your teams think about the control measures they need to employ in their area of the production process, this training will demonstrate your company's commitment to achieving best practise for allergen management. The workshop is non-unit standard based course, which will aid in the development of staff and management for the requirements of your quality system.
We also offer training courses for allergen management and awareness. Frequency and location is dependent on demand.
