I joined the AQ team in May 2016 after 20 years in strategic KAM roles in Manufacturing – particularly in the Packaging Industry working with Food, Beverage and Dairy. My key focus has always been to transition day to day transactional relationships into key strategic partnerships.
My primary areas of focus are the horticultural and food industries and related supply chains. With past business ownership coupled with account management and business development experience, I am a strong advocate of building mutually beneficial partnerships. Working across NZ, Australia and more recently SE Asia and China, has given me wider insight into where AsureQuality can add value to our customers and assist reach their target markets.
I come from a meat industry background having spent 16 years as a meat inspector before moving to MAF Quality Management, and then joining ASURE New Zealand Ltd in 1998 as a Business Development Manager.
I have worked in NZ’s primary industry in a number of roles including management, operations, logistics and key accounts. I have also owned my own grain and seed business. I have may years’ experience in managing assurance programmes for dairy, sheep, beef & deer, feed manufacturers and wool industry suppliers. I joined ASURE New Zealand in 2007.
I am a food specialist (microbiologist) with experience in the health sector, research, fisheries and commercial laboratories. I have also held technical sales, business development and management roles for Biolab, Alpha Biologicals and NZLABS. I joined AsureQuality in February 2015 as the South Island Key Account Manager.
I am a microbiologist with experience working in food testing laboratories, ranging from in-house laboratories in the meat industry to commercial food and dairy testing laboratories. I joined AsureQuality in 2006 to run the Micro team based in the Wellington Lab, and then moved to Key Account Management in 2011, relocating to Singapore in this role in 2014.
I joined AsureQuality in March 2014 as a Customer Services Representative at the Auckland Laboratory. This was a great stepping stone to my current role as it allowed me to develop knowledge around our customers’ needs and laboratory testing. I have a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from Massey University.
I joined AsureQuality in August 2016. I have extensive account management experience with a strong focus on top FMCG accounts. I believe that building relationships is important for businesses to grow and develop, and I enjoy working in partnership with my customers. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from San Jose State University in California.
I joined AsureQuality after three years of Business Development for the health ingredients and supplement industries in the USA. Prior to this I worked for Plant and Food research in Auckland, initially as a research associate then as a business associate, within the breeding and genomics team.
I originally trained as a Forest Ranger and moved to MAF in 1982 where I was involved in forestry export inspection and certification. This function became part of AgriQuality when the SOE was formed in 1998 and I became the Forestry Business Manager.
I have experience in the private sector, local government, central government and most recently in the tertiary sector. I have held a range of roles extending from resource management compliance auditing to business development at the University of Otago and regulatory affairs (including working in both the ACVM Group and Medsafe). I am focussed on building strong collaborative relationships and identifying how AsureQuality can add value to new and existing programmes and customers.
I started my career as a dairy industry trainee cadet and have both dairy company and Ministry of Agriculture experience. I joined AgriQuality from MAF Quality Management when it formed in 1998. I have a Dip. Dairy Technology from Massey University.
I joined AsureQuality in March 2002 as laboratory supervisor. Over the years I've held various jobs within AsureQuality: scientific analyst, customer focus manager and key account manager, to name a few.
I have extensive experience in working with food, dairy, meat and pharmaceutical customers. I believe that building relationships, and working in partnerships with my customers is key for business growth and development.
Working across different parts of AQ has given me a great understanding into where and how AQ can add value to our customers.
I have a Batchelor of Technology (Food Science) degree from Massey University.
I have been with AsureQuality for 14 years and during that time I have worked with the New Zealand beekeeping industry in a range of capacities. In my current role as the Apiculture Technical Manager I am involved in industry support activities including; the AFB NPMP, bee product risk management program audits, live bee and bee product certification, exotic disease surveillance and response, suspect exotic disease investigation, pollination hive audits and offshore contract work.
