AsureQuality COVID-19 Vaccination Protocols and Requirements
AsureQuality is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our people and to ensure business continuity in critical service of our customers, partners, and other stakeholders. We strongly support vaccination as a key control in reducing the severity of COVID-19 and the likelihood of its spread in our work environments.
As recently communicated, AsureQuality have completed formal Health and Safety Risk Assessments (H&S RA) across our business using the approach recommended by WorkSafe. We used these H&S RA to determine which of our roles require mandated vaccinations (Mandatory Roles).
A formal consultation process with our people in identified Mandatory Roles has been completed and we are now able to communicate our position on vaccination going forward.
AsureQuality have identified approximately 1300 Mandatory Roles where our H&S RA and consultation processes have determined that vaccination is a requirement for these roles. The Mandatory Roles sit within the following areas of our business: Meat Services, Food Testing Laboratories, Food Processing, and Customer Solutions functions. Consultation continues in the Biosecurity Services area of our business.
Along with these Mandatory Roles, AsureQuality has very high vaccination rates for our people, representative of the general New Zealand population. We’re confident that these high general rates, the Mandatory Roles, and the robust plans, protocols, and practices we have in place across all areas of our business have placed us in a good position to manage well through the next periods.
AsureQuality fully supports those customers who have or are intending to implement a vaccination mandate and will work with our customers around the implications this would have on service delivery, including ensuring the implementation does not create additional safety concerns.
AsureQuality will regularly review our position on vaccination mandates to ensure we continue to best reflect Government guidelines and provide a safe and healthy environment for our people, customers, and communities.
It remains a challenging time as we continue to manage the issues that the COVID-19 situation is presenting in order to minimise any potential disruptions, working with customers as you navigate the scenarios that may be affecting your business, and respecting policies you may be putting in place. We are very grateful for the patience and support received from our customers, stakeholders, and partners.
