AsureQuality Sustainability

Environmental and Sustainability Assurance

Build trust with consumers by ensuring your food and fibre products are produced in a sustainable and ethical way.

The need for environmental assurance in the primary sector is rapidly growing; consumers are demanding sustainability action, regulation is increasing, and export market access increasingly requires proof of responsible production. We are building a suite of services that offer everything from compliance to showcasing best practice and proactive action. More than strictly environmental, sustainability assurance verifies progress in areas such as staff health and wellbeing, responsible procurement, good governance, and transparency. Wherever you are on your sustainability journey, we can support you through training, technical insights, or certification services.

Our Journey Towards Environmental Sustainability

Environmental Sustainability is one of the key foundations of AsureQuality’s Strategy - Sustainable for Aotearoa. Since 2019, we’ve been on a journey to reduce our impact to the environment.

We have introduced range of initiatives to help us achieve this including joining Toitū(external link)  in 2020 to monitor our carbon emissions. AsureQuality became a Toitū carbonreduce certified organisation in 2022.

We completed our first Materiality Assessment from late 2021 to March 2022. This tool is used to help form the basis of a sustainability strategy. It formalises and prioritises areas of focus according to external and internal stakeholders and potential business impacts. The outcome of this assessment was our Materiality Matrix.

The AsureQuality Organic Mark

An organic certification mark on a product gives consumers confidence that the product they are buying has been produced according to organic principles.

Products certified organic by AsureQuality are given a unique organic customer number that enables traceability.

You can use the AsureQuality organic logo with your number on approved marketing materials.
